If you wait, they will come…

This week was probably one of the busiest I have had as a librarian.  It was amazing to see so many come and ask me for help other than computer issues. Teachers came to ask me what resources to use in order to create time lines.  Another came and asked me how we could we utilize more library resources for a history research paper in a national contest.  It was fun and exhausting at the same time.  Of course, the more I am asked to do for teachers and students, then maybe I can ask for an extra set of hands that can  process books for me.  Up to now, that really has been all I have done because no one would ask for my assistance as the library was being built up.  It is getting there. I am hoping that in the future, I will have a say in the the new library will look like. Our enrollment is increasing and I am excited to find out what the next step will be as our school looks for new property to build.  For now, I must allow myself to be content in my little library—at least I am being asked to collaborate. YAY!
