What a Week!

I just finished a very long first week back to school.  Technology issues encompassed a great deal of my time.  We have some new administrative staff changes at work which means that I’ll be receiving some new directions in the coming week.  I do not look forward to that. I have been my school’s librarian for about 1 1/2 years now. I have grown and learned so much.  Yet, the demands are also growing. I am a people “pleaser”. I want people to have what they need and/or want.  When I cannot locate something or it takes a great deal of time, I become anxious that I want to crawl out of my skin.  Mostly, things cost money and I wish that I had some trust fund or lottery winnings to use to provide the best possible resources for my patrons.  Anyway, it is a day to day process. I know I cannot accomplish everything or else I would be some super hero (Wouldn’t that be nice–maybe then I could get more done–not to mention have some more energy)!  I’ll take what I can do and hopefully learn more as I go along.  Have a GREAT weekend!

NOW WE’VE GOT THE INTERNET, WHY DO WE STILL NEED SCHOOL LIBRARIES?
